YOUR WATER SUPPLY IS SAFE

What LOCSD is doing during the COVID-19 Pandemic

COVID-19 is a virus that can be disinfected by treatment processes practiced and utilized by the Los Osos Community Services District at their water facilities. Customers may continue to use and consume water from their taps. The Los Osos Community Services District Utilities Department and its staff are prepared to maintain and provide safe, potable, and adequate supply of drinking water for its customers. Things the District is doing to ensure this:

  • Maintain communication and working partnership with our local water quality laboratory for analysis and reporting
  • Continued communication with our local County Health Agencies
  • Continued communication with the California Water Resources Control Board
  • Monitoring all Environmental Protection Agency communication and directives for ensuring safe drinking water
  • Maintaining staffing levels to respond to emergency and critical operation of the District water facilities
  • Maintain a 24/7 Standby schedule for after hour emergencies
  • Updating and maintaining mutual aid agreements
