Establishing a Water Account

There are three water purveyors in Los Osos.  Click on the map on the right side of this page to view it up close.  Please check to see if the address you are moving into is on this list before applying for water service with the District.  


The Sunset Terrace area near the Sea Pines Golf Course is serviced by S & T Mutual Water Company.  To establish service call 805-316-0640

Golden State Water Company provides water service to other areas in Los Osos. To establish service call 1-800-999-4033.

To establish or discontinue water service with the District, please contact the LOCSD Customer Service Department at 805-528-9370 or visit our business office at 2122 9th Street, Suite #110, Los Osos.  District Lobby Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  Tuesday and Thursday lobby hours are from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

For new property owners, property managers and tenants: a completed New Water Service Application and a $50.00 non-refundable activation fee must be paid in full, no later than 3:00 p.m, otherwise service will be established the next business day. Please be advised that service will not be established until both the application and activation fee are received.  We do not begin or discontinue services on Saturdays or Sundays.  District staff work between the hours of 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Field crews work between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

If you are out of the area and wish to establish new water service: a completed New Water Service Application should be Faxed to 805-528-9377 or emailed to (redacted) and the $50.00 non-refundable activation fee can be paid through Paymentus Corporation.  Be sure to choose "Activation Fee" in the drop-down menu and enter the service address in the "Account Number" box on the Paymentus site.  It is also recommended that you include your Paymentus Confirmation Number on your application before forwarding to the District.
