Caltrans District 5 invites you to attend the Toro Creek Southbound Bridge Replacement Public Information Meeting on Thursday May 22, 2025. The meeting will be held at Veteran's Memorial Building, 209 Surf St. in Morro Bay at 5PM. 

This project is located in San Luis Obispo County, near Morro bay on Highway 1 at Toro Creek.

The purpose for this project is to address the poor health of the existing south-bound Toro Creek Bridge and upgrade nonstandard bridge railing, nonstandard geometric features, and associated roadway approaches. 

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to remove and replace the existing southbound bridge structure at Toro Creek on State Route 1 in San Luis Obispo County at postmile 32.6. Project activities include vegetation clearing, pavement work, aesthetic treatments, upgrading guardrails, erosion control, temporary construction access, staging sites, and temporary traffic control.
