The Los Osos Community Services District, in cooperation with CAL FIRE/SLO County Fire Department, Station 15 - South Bay has initiated a hiring process to select prospective LOCSD Reserve Firefighters.
Reserve Firefighters are expected to cover two 12 hour shifts per month, attend required training and drills, and return for emergency call backs at CAL FIRE/Station 15 - South Bay.
Reserve Firefighter applications and additional information can be obtained at CAL FIRE/Station 15 - South Bay, located at 2315 Bayview Heights Drive in Los Osos, CA during business hours (Monday-Friday 8am- 5pm).
In order to qualify for the Reserve Firefighter position, an application must be submitted by
MONDAY SEPTEMBER 16TH, 2019 no later than 5PM with the following:
-a valid form of ID
-a Social Security Card
-a DMV report, dated within 30-days
A Resume Review will be conducted with a preference for applicants who are current San Luis Obispo County Paid-Call/Reserve Firefighters and/or with proof of accredited Firefighter I Academy completion.
Mandatory attendance dates if chosen for interview process:
*SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 21ST, 2019 at 9AM: Firefighter Physical Ability Test to be held at CAL FIRE/Station 15 - South Bay
*SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 22ND, 2019: Oral Interviews
The final step will be a background investigation and a successful completion of a pre-employment physical.
